Setup

Standard 52-card deck

4 players (played in partnerships)

Dealer shuffles and deals all cards evenly

Bidding

After the deal, each player bids how many tricks they think they can win.

Bids range from 0 (no tricks) to 13 (all tricks). The total bids must not equal 13.

TThe last player can either Accept or Reject the leftover bid.

If they reject, the teams swap cards, and the rejecting team commits to taking one trick morethan the opposing team's bid.

Gameplay

Spades ( ♠ ) is always the Trump suit.

You must follow suit if you can.

If you can't, you may play another suit. This is where strategy comes in.

The highest card in the lead suit wins the trick, unless a trump ( ♠ ) is played.

Scoring

Bids and Points are tracked by team, not by individual players.

If both teams make exactly the number of tricks they bid, each team earns that number of points.

If a team wins more tricks than they bid, they score the full 13 points.

Winning

The first team to reach 52 points wins the game.
